About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Service Manager to lead a team supporting 16+ children and care leavers. This vital role focuses on motivating and developing staff to provide high-quality, needs-led care, empowering young people within the care system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage a multi-functional team in daily operations.
  • Ensure young people’s needs are central to the support process.
  • Deliver personalized and high-quality support to young people.
  • Work within a strengths-based, trauma-informed framework.
  • Manage housing arrangements and collaborate with internal SHP Central teams.
  • Maintain high service delivery standards.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Proven experience managing staff across multiple sites.
  • Experience managing accommodation-based services.
  • Knowledge of housing management and health & safety.
  • Strong stakeholder relationship and community network building skills.
  • Creative, analytical, trauma-informed approach.
  • Experience in inspiring young people and staff development.
  • Non-judgmental approach with complex needs young people.
  • Strong team-working and interpersonal skills.
