About the Role:

Make a difference by joining our team of experienced Social Workers and Senior Social Workers in Stockport. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work directly with adults in need, promoting their independence and advocating for their choices. You’ll play a vital part in ensuring safe practice and protection from abuse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with people who use services, families, and communities to ensure safe practice and protection from abuse.
  • Promote independence and advocate for the decisions, views, and choices of individuals within their personal outcomes.
  • Develop and embed community-led support (CLS).
  • Produce high-quality assessments, accurately assessing and managing risk and complexity.
  • Lead on and continue to develop and embed community-led support (CLS); ensuring people have the right support in the area they require it.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Qualified Social Worker with experience in adult social work in a statutory setting.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply relevant legislation, regulations, and Practice Guidance (including strength-based and proportionate practice).
  • Strong relationship-building skills with colleagues, families, and partners.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach.
