About the Role:
Support the Head Chef in managing the kitchen team, ensuring efficient operations, high-quality food preparation, and adherence to health and safety standards across all service areas (banqueting, afternoon tea, breakfast, lunch, and dinner). This involves task delegation, organisation, and coaching of Chef de Partie’s in cooking techniques and presentation, as well as managing allergen protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the kitchen team, delegating tasks and organizing duties.
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations.
- Coach Chef de Partie’s on cooking techniques, dish presentation, and allergen protocols.
- Cook alongside the team, preparing a variety of dishes.
- Work across all kitchen areas, including banqueting, afternoon tea, breakfast, lunch, and dinner service.
Skills and Expertise:
- Previous experience in a high-volume kitchen, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong drive for career growth in the hospitality industry.
- Demonstrated passion for culinary excellence.
- Empathetic and skilled in building relationships.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commercial awareness within the context of the role.
- Experience in a similar environment.
