About the Role:
BaxterStorey is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sous Chef to join our prestigious client in London’s Moorgate. This role will be vital in the success of a new, state-of-the-art facility with significant restaurant and dining operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards, maintaining food safety.
- Manage the production of assigned dishes, ensuring station upkeep and cleanliness.
- Maintain high culinary quality standards for presentation and taste.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with all team members, assisting colleagues and coaching junior chefs.
- Develop new recipes and collaborate with the head chef for menu innovation.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring equipment functionality.
Skills and Expertise:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role (minimum 5 years’ experience in a professional kitchen).
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication skills.
