About the Role:
We’re seeking a Sous Chef to play a vital role in preparing delicious and nutritious meals tailored to the needs of our residents at Lovell Place. Your skills in food preparation and passion for creating high-quality meals will make a positive impact on the well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head Chef in planning and providing high-quality meals.
- Prepare balanced meals meeting dietary requirements and preferences.
- Cater to individual dietary needs, including allergies and special diets.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure enjoyable meal times.
- Deputize for the Head Chef during absences, ensuring consistent high-quality food service.
Skills and Expertise:
- Proven experience as a chef, ideally in a care environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Commitment to customer care and exceptional service.
- Relevant food preparation/cooking qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 2).
- Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety (COSHH) regulations.
- Empathy and a desire to improve residents’ lives.
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
