About the Role:
Academic Appointments is seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs Teacher to join a Leeds special school. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with diverse needs, including autism and social-emotional/mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality teaching and support to students with special educational needs.
- Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) for assigned students.
- Collaborate with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure student well-being.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and needs.
Skills and Expertise:
- Proven experience working with pupils with a range of additional needs.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
- Experience with Team Teach (advantageous, not essential).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of Special Educational Needs including Autism, Social emotional and Mental Health.
