About the Role:
This Specialist Midwife position focuses on improving health outcomes for a specific cohort of families accessing maternity services. The role will work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders to provide tailored and integrated care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work in partnership with service users and stakeholders to protect health and wellbeing.
- Improve outcomes for a specified cohort of pregnant people.
- Act as care coordinator for pregnant people with complex health needs.
- Provide visible leadership and evidence-based information and education.
- Deliver complex and sensitive information in various circumstances.
- Facilitate and contribute to the delivery of a seamless integrated care package.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to support evidence-based care.
- Act as an expert resource and positive role model for the multi-disciplinary team.
- Ensure relevant guidelines and clinical pathways reflect current evidence.
Skills and Expertise:
- NMC Midwives Rules and Standards compliance.
- NMC Code and current public health guidance knowledge.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Expertise in providing complex and sensitive information.
- Ability to facilitate and contribute to integrated care.
- Collaborative and team-oriented approach.
- Proven ability to implement evidence-based care.
