About the Role:

Are you an experienced Specialist Occupational Therapist looking to make a significant impact on the lives of children and young adults with neurodiverse needs? This newly created role at The Grange offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of occupational therapy services and collaborate with a passionate integrated therapy team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Taking a Neurodiverse affirming and trauma-informed approach to clinical work with a small caseload of pupils with neurodiverse needs.
  • Assessing, writing indirect therapy programmes, providing advice and consultations, and delivering direct therapy.
  • Working alongside the integrated therapy team (Speech and Language Therapists and Creative Art Therapists).
  • Designing and delivering specific training and mentoring for colleagues to further develop the Occupational Therapy offering within the specialist college, supported by the Clinical Lead.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Recognized post-graduate qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • Essential qualification in Sensory Integration and Processing
  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist with RCOT Membership
  • Significant experience as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience and ability to complete or contribute to capacity assessments
  • Good IT skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
  • Full driving licence
