About the Role:
Are you a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist seeking a new role? NELFT’s Special Schools team welcomes applications for a therapist to join our vibrant team in Waltham Forest. This role involves delivering care and support to children, young people, and their families across schools and clinics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver care to children, young people, and their families in schools and clinics.
- Conduct assessments and provide intervention to children and young people.
- Train school staff on speech and language therapy best practices.
- Develop and specialize in areas like AAC and ASC within the caseload.
Skills and Expertise:
- Qualified and registered Specialist Speech and Language Therapist.
- Experience working with children and young people with special educational needs in schools.
- Strong assessment and intervention skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) and ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) is desirable.
