About the Role:

Are you a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist seeking a new role? NELFT’s Special Schools team welcomes applications for a therapist to join our vibrant team in Waltham Forest. This role involves delivering care and support to children, young people, and their families across schools and clinics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver care to children, young people, and their families in schools and clinics.
  • Conduct assessments and provide intervention to children and young people.
  • Train school staff on speech and language therapy best practices.
  • Develop and specialize in areas like AAC and ASC within the caseload.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Qualified and registered Specialist Speech and Language Therapist.
  • Experience working with children and young people with special educational needs in schools.
  • Strong assessment and intervention skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) and ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) is desirable.
