About the Role:
Jollyes, a top-rated pet retailer, seeks a driven Store Manager for their Newport store. This role involves managing daily operations, fostering a positive team environment, and ensuring exceptional customer service to pet owners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily store operations, including team management, store standards, and stock control.
- Deliver excellent customer service and promote responsible pet ownership.
- Maximize sales, gross margins, and control costs.
- Recruit, motivate, train, and develop store staff, and manage performance.
- Ensure adherence to high store standards, health & safety, and legal compliance.
- Promote Jollyes as an employer of choice within the community.
- Communicate business updates and individual/team objectives.
Skills and Expertise:
- Proven retail store management experience with a hands-on approach.
- Strong decision-making and communication skills.
- Ability to build high-performing teams and implement succession planning.
- Proven track record of exceeding KPIs and maintaining store standards.
- Commercial awareness and P&L management skills.
- Passion for pets and people.
