About the Role:
Lead and manage all aspects of a retail store in Swansea, focusing on exceeding customer service, sales targets, and store standards. This key role requires strong people management, operational, and customer service skills to create a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily store operations, including staff supervision and scheduling.
- Ensure adherence to store standards, including presentation, stock management, and safety protocols.
- Drive sales performance through effective strategies and customer service initiatives.
- Develop, train, and motivate retail staff to deliver excellent customer service.
- Recruit, onboard, and manage performance of store staff.
- Maintain accurate financial records and manage store budget.
- Develop and implement plans for short, medium, and long-term store success.
- Promote responsible pet ownership.
- Achieve sales targets and KPIs.
Skills and Expertise:
- Proven retail store management experience.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Passion for pets and people.
- Solid understanding of financial management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of retail KPI management.
- Proficiency in stock management and inventory control.
- Experience with store merchandising, layout, and promotional planning.
- Strong understanding of customer relationship management (CRM).
