About the Role:

We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Support Worker to join our Supported Living Services team in Northallerton. This role involves supporting adults with learning disabilities in a vibrant and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding support to individuals in their daily lives, including budget management, bill payments, housework, and appointment scheduling.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals and their families.
  • Support individuals with personal care as needed, including medication prompting and assistance with hygiene.
  • Facilitate community engagement and participation in social activities.
  • Manage and document daily activities and progress.
  • Collaborate with a team to create a supportive and engaging environment.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience and understanding in a diverse work environment.
  • Ability to support individuals with learning disabilities in daily tasks and social situations.
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations preferred.
  • Flexible availability to work various shifts, including sleep-ins (competitive sleep-in pay).
