About the Role:
We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Support Worker to join our Supported Living Services team in Northallerton. This role involves supporting adults with learning disabilities in a vibrant and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding support to individuals in their daily lives, including budget management, bill payments, housework, and appointment scheduling.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals and their families.
- Support individuals with personal care as needed, including medication prompting and assistance with hygiene.
- Facilitate community engagement and participation in social activities.
- Manage and document daily activities and progress.
- Collaborate with a team to create a supportive and engaging environment.
Skills and Expertise:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience and understanding in a diverse work environment.
- Ability to support individuals with learning disabilities in daily tasks and social situations.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations preferred.
- Flexible availability to work various shifts, including sleep-ins (competitive sleep-in pay).
