About the Role:
Eden Futures is seeking compassionate and driven Support Workers to enrich the lives of individuals with learning disabilities, mental ill health, autism, and complex needs. This role provides person-centred care and support to empower individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support service users to lead full and active lives, according to their wishes and choices, considering their assessed needs and individual support and care plans.
- Support individuals to stay safe and protect them from abuse.
- Provide emotional support and maintain a person-centred approach.
- Support service users in social activities, managing finances and medication responsibly, and assist with practical tasks, personal care, hygiene, and healthcare.
- Serve as an informal point of contact for families and social workers.
- Accurately report and record issues related to service user care and support.
- Comply with Health and Safety regulations and consider the well-being of others.
- Form appropriate relationships, maintaining professional boundaries.
- Work within organizational policies, procedures, and guidance.
- Demonstrate organizational values and behaviours.
Skills and Expertise:
- Compassionate and caring attitude with a passion for supporting individuals.
- Experience in care work (desirable, but not essential).
- Resilience and ability to remain positive during challenging situations.
- Teamwork and initiative skills.
- Ability to support colleagues when needed.
