About the Role:
Voyage Care is seeking compassionate Support Workers to enhance the lives of individuals with learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy, and complex care needs, including visual impairments, in Langport, Somerset. You’ll play a vital role in assisting with daily tasks, promoting independence, and fostering community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with personal care and daily living tasks.
- Encouraging independence and participation in community activities (e.g., local shops, pubs).
- Providing support and companionship.
- Implementing individualised support plans.
- Working as part of a dedicated support team.
Skills and Expertise:
- Full UK Driving License (preferred).
- Resilience, flexibility, and composure.
- Experience supporting individuals with autism, epilepsy, and/or visual impairments (preferred).
- Passion for enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
