About the Role:
Advance is seeking caring and dedicated Support Workers in Hackney, London to support individuals with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs, or mental health conditions. This role offers a fulfilling opportunity to make a positive difference in people’s lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with personal care and hygiene (if required)
- Ensuring premises security and safety during the night
- Supporting with meal times and food preparation (if required)
- Medication administration (if required)
- Supporting independent living skills
- Maintaining accurate records and updating care plans
- Keeping up-to-date with training
- Conducting regular checks on customers for safety
- Supporting with domestic duties (cleaning, laundry)
Skills and Expertise:
- Caring and compassionate attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience and/or willingness to achieve Care Certificate
- Literacy and numeracy in English
- Ability to complete quality support records
- Ability to follow support plans and risk assessments
- Experience with customers who have learning disabilities or autism (preferred)
