About the Role:
Moorfield Primary School seeks a dedicated Teaching Assistant (Level 3) to support pupils in a Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 classroom. This role involves assisting the class teacher with various tasks, including classroom administration, group and individual learning activities. Experience with special educational needs (SEND) is a plus, but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils in the classroom with learning activities.
- Assist the class teacher with administration tasks.
- Provide one-to-one support to pupils as needed.
- Implement effective strategies to foster positive learning attitudes.
- Collaborate with other staff and relevant agencies.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Maintain high expectations for student attainment and behavior.
Skills and Expertise:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or willingness to enroll in the TA3 program.
- Strong knowledge base for supporting all children.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a calm approach.
- Experience working with children.
- Ability to inspire children and create high-quality learning experiences.
- Ability to work well within a team environment and with other staff.
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic about children’s learning.
Job Facilities/Benefits:
- Competitive salary (Teaching Assistant Scale 3 point 5 15,187 pro-rata; Midday Assistant Scale 1 point 2 2,734 pro-rata).
- 26.5 hours per week for Teaching Assistant position (5.25 hours per day).
- 5 hours per week for Midday Assistant position (1 hour per day).
