About the Role:

Inspire and support students aged 4-11 in Horsham schools. This teaching assistant role plays a vital role in nurturing academic, social, and emotional growth. You’ll be a key member of a supportive team, tailoring teaching methods to suit diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support groups of children under teacher supervision.
  • Provide regular feedback to the class teacher and maintain records.
  • Assist with children’s personal needs, including minor first aid, and promote health, hygiene, and well-being.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and caregivers to monitor progress.
  • Work with children 1:1 or in small groups to enhance learning.
  • Act as a positive role model for students and colleagues.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Experience working with children.
  • SEN experience (desirable).
  • Passion for supporting children’s development.
  • GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or above) or equivalent.
  • Enhanced child DBS (assistance available if needed).
  • Skills in behaviour and classroom management.
  • Patience and adaptability to engage children in planned activities.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
