About the Role:
Inspire and support students aged 4-11 in Horsham schools. This teaching assistant role plays a vital role in nurturing academic, social, and emotional growth. You’ll be a key member of a supportive team, tailoring teaching methods to suit diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support groups of children under teacher supervision.
- Provide regular feedback to the class teacher and maintain records.
- Assist with children’s personal needs, including minor first aid, and promote health, hygiene, and well-being.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and caregivers to monitor progress.
- Work with children 1:1 or in small groups to enhance learning.
- Act as a positive role model for students and colleagues.
Skills and Expertise:
- Experience working with children.
- SEN experience (desirable).
- Passion for supporting children’s development.
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or above) or equivalent.
- Enhanced child DBS (assistance available if needed).
- Skills in behaviour and classroom management.
- Patience and adaptability to engage children in planned activities.
- Eligibility to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
