About the Role:

Prospero Teaching is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support pupils in a Middlesbrough primary school. This full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to positively impact student learning and development, particularly for students with special educational needs (SEN). You’ll work closely with pupils, teachers, and colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils with various special educational needs (SEN), including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, and PMLD, both individually and in small groups.
  • Delivering intervention sessions to enhance pupil understanding and progress.
  • Developing an understanding of individual pupil needs and learning styles in collaboration with class teachers.
  • Supporting pupils during breaktimes and lunchtimes as needed.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Experience working with children in UK schools.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with pupils and colleagues.
  • Resilient, proactive, and positive attitude.
  • Supporting Teaching and Learning or Childcare qualification (preferred).
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • Two professional references covering the last two years.

Job Facilities/Benefits:

  • Pay: 80-90 per day
  • Hours: 08.30-16.00
  • Contract: Full-time, temporary until end of academic year (July 2025)
  • Start Date: ASAP
