About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide support to students with severe, profound, and multiple learning difficulties, potentially including autism, at our Virginia Water school site. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students in a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the educational and care needs of students with special needs.
- Implement learning techniques to enhance student development, such as Zones of Regulation and Intensive Interaction.
- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other staff members.
Skills and Expertise:
- Experience working with children with special educational needs (desirable).
- Flexibility to work on an ad-hoc basis throughout term time.
- Enthusiasm and energy to support students.
- Commitment to safeguarding children.
- Ability to learn new techniques and adapt to diverse learning needs.
- Patience and understanding.
