About the Role:
Absolute Interpreting & Translations is seeking professional Tetum interpreters to connect patients, end-users, and service providers in Hampshire. This role involves face-to-face interpretation for a range of clients, including hospitals, councils, and schools. We are looking for reliable and skilled interpreters, even if only part-time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional, high-quality, impartial, and confidential face-to-face interpreting services.
- Bridge language barriers between patients, end users, and service providers.
- Liaise with clients and ensure effective communication.
- Accurately convey information to ensure understanding.
Skills and Expertise:
- Fluency in Tetum.
- Experience in face-to-face interpreting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of professional interpreting ethics.
- DBS check (enhanced).
