About the Role:
This specialised role within surgical teams is crucial for ensuring smooth and safe operating room procedures. As a Theatre Scrub Nurse, you’ll play a vital part in patient care and surgical interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain sterile equipment.
- Assist surgeons during operations.
- Ensure patient safety throughout surgical interventions.
- Provide skilled clinical and technical assistance to the operating theatre team.
- Participate in assessing patient care needs and implementing standards of care.
- Follow Codes of Professional Practice to provide high-quality care.
Skills and Expertise:
- Minimum of 6 months experience as a Scrub Nurse in Theatres.
- Registered with NMC.
- (Depending on the Trust, variable additional certification and skills may be required)
