About the Role:
Logistics People seeks an experienced Transport Planner to join our Doncaster depot team. You will play a key role in creating effective transport plans for customers, adhering to all legal responsibilities within the Stobart network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and plan drivers effectively, communicating regularly and utilizing transport software.
- Control and plan resources (vehicles, drivers, trailers), ensuring compliance with Working Time Directive and EU drivers hours regulations.
- Complete daily plans in real-time, maximizing resource utilization and minimizing costs.
- Maintain and update internal tracking systems.
- Utilize in-house planning tools and systems to manage workload and monitor efficiency.
- Meet key performance targets for fleet safety and efficiency, including utilization and costing.
- Communicate with customer service teams and drivers to achieve and maintain customer KPIs and targets.
Skills and Expertise:
- 2+ years of experience in transport and logistics.
- PC literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to work independently and resolve complex issues.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to manage workload efficiently.
