About the Role:
Join a leading UK transport planning consultancy as an experienced Transport Planner. This role provides a structured path for your professional development, mentorship throughout your chartership, and collaborative opportunities with colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support transport planning projects, from forecasting and appraisal to data analysis for local modelling studies.
- Develop local, national, and regional transport policy documents to enhance transportation networks.
- Create Transport Assessments and Travel Plans to support planning applications.
- Evaluate the costs and benefits of transport schemes and programmes.
- Implement strategies to alter travel behaviour, including travel planning, marketing, walking/cycling initiatives, and journey planning.
- Gain proficiency in transport planning software such as AutoCAD, ARCADY, PICADY, and LinSig.
Skills and Expertise:
- Degree in Transport Planning, Engineering, or Geography.
- 2-4 years’ experience in a similar role at a UK engineering consultancy.
- Proven experience with transport modelling tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and data interpretation skills.
