About the Role:
Babcock is seeking a skilled Vehicle Mechanic to perform servicing, repair, maintenance, and overhaul of vehicles and equipment at our Donnington site. The role requires expertise in diagnostics and inspections, and adherence to production requirements. This full-time position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute to essential tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, inspect, and assess vehicles and equipment according to skills and competency.
- Ensure proper use of issued stores and equipment, returning unused or faulty items to the Team Leader.
- Create job cards and necessary material using ERP (SAP).
- Complete vehicle and equipment documentation, test certificates, and reports to standards.
Skills and Expertise:
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Mechanic.
- Hydraulics experience.
- Dealership or local garage experience.
- Strong teamwork and adaptability skills.
- NVQ Level 3 Service and Repair.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance.
