About the Role:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse to join a leading mental health hospital in Bristol as a Ward Manager. This role will oversee a mixed acute unit, ensuring high-quality patient care and fostering a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee nursing staff rotas, ensuring effective rostering and adherence to standards.
  • Be available for on-call duties.
  • Act as a visible role model, mentor, and leader, promoting learning, development, and professionalism.
  • Ensure the highest standard of patient care.
  • Actively lead staff recruitment and retention efforts.
  • Conduct thorough and timely clinical, complaint, and HR investigations.
  • Adhere to the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Deprivation of Liberties legislation.
  • Manage medicines within the clinical area/ward, ensuring nurse competency and effective error management.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with current NMC Pin.
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in a relevant care setting.
  • Appropriate ward-specific qualifications or experience.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing clinical, managerial, and leadership training.

Job Facilities/Benefits:
