About the Role:
East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust seeks a passionate and experienced Sister/Charge Nurse to join their Critical Care team at Colchester Hospital. This critical role will deliver clinical leadership and expertise in patient care for Level 2 and 3 patients, including paediatrics, within a 24/7 service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver clinical leadership and expertise in the management of Level 2 and 3 patients, including paediatrics.
- Manage a Clinical Specialist Team of registered nurses and healthcare assistants.
- Contribute to the Trust’s quality and governance agenda.
- Work in partnership with other Sisters/Charge Nurses to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
- Understand current health agenda and national guidance for critical care practice.
- Undertake internal rotation and weekend duties.
Skills and Expertise:
- Experienced Sister/Charge Nurse with proven critical care skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work confidently and collaboratively across professional boundaries.
- Understanding of the current health agenda and national guidance for critical care practice.
