About the Role:

East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust seeks a passionate and experienced Sister/Charge Nurse to join their Critical Care team at Colchester Hospital. This critical role will deliver clinical leadership and expertise in patient care for Level 2 and 3 patients, including paediatrics, within a 24/7 service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clinical leadership and expertise in the management of Level 2 and 3 patients, including paediatrics.
  • Manage a Clinical Specialist Team of registered nurses and healthcare assistants.
  • Contribute to the Trust’s quality and governance agenda.
  • Work in partnership with other Sisters/Charge Nurses to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Understand current health agenda and national guidance for critical care practice.
  • Undertake internal rotation and weekend duties.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Experienced Sister/Charge Nurse with proven critical care skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work confidently and collaboratively across professional boundaries.
  • Understanding of the current health agenda and national guidance for critical care practice.
