About the Role:
DX is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative to ensure the safe and efficient unloading and loading of freight. This role is vital to the smooth operation of our delivery network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent DX professionally at all times.
- Adhere to all DX manual handling and safe working policies, using appropriate PPE.
- Comply with DX procedures and policies.
- Handle all freight with care and attention.
- Access and egress vehicles correctly.
- Utilize correct equipment for handling freight.
- Ensure all deliveries are loaded safely before leaving the site.
- Report any damages immediately to your line manager.
- Verify freight against paperwork/scanner information.
- Ensure customer freight is transported, stored safely, and treated with respect.
- Report suspicious activity to your line manager or security team.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, reporting any H&S issues immediately.
Skills and Expertise:
- Experience in a warehouse environment (preferred).
- Ability to follow procedures and instructions accurately.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong time-management skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move freight.
