About the Role:

Join our Pin Repair Team and play a vital role in maintaining the structural integrity of our products. Your expertise in MIG welding on mild steel will be crucial for repairing and strengthening critical components on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • MIG welding on mild steel for repair and strengthening.
  • Maintenance and repair of welding equipment.
  • Removal and welding of pins to departmental standards.
  • Welding of aluminium hangers.
  • Updating and improving departmental Standard Working Practices.
  • Identifying training requirements and supporting other smelter areas.
  • Seeking additional welding work from the wider site.
  • Ensuring risk assessments are in place prior to conducting tasks.
  • Maintaining tools, equipment, and safety equipment in good condition.
  • Adhering to all safety protocols and reporting any incidents.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Expertise in MIG welding techniques.
  • Experience with mild steel welding.
  • Knowledge of welding safety procedures.
  • Proactive approach to safety and risk assessment.
