About the Role:

Join our dynamic obstetric ultrasound team as an experienced Sonographer, providing expert diagnostic imaging for women’s health. Your skills and expertise will be crucial in personalising patient care and improving the overall patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake ultrasound examinations according to departmental protocols.
  • Accurately report ultrasound findings as per departmental guidelines.
  • Maintain a high professional and technical standard of work.
  • Supervise patient welfare during examinations.
  • Ensure safe conduct of all examinations within your area of responsibility.
  • Assist with research and departmental audits.
  • Maintain Nuchal Translucency certification.
  • Counsel patients regarding 1st Trimester screening for chromosomal abnormalities and provide appropriate referrals.
  • Manage staff within your sphere of responsibility.
  • Participate in staff orientation and development.
  • Participate in the appraisal of untrained staff.
  • Maintain accurate and legible patient records.
  • Support and guide team members as needed.
  • Participate in departmental and service review meetings.
  • Use computers for record keeping, respecting patient confidentiality.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Experienced specialist diagnostic sonographer.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven experience in obstetric ultrasound.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to challenging situations.
  • Understanding of data protection requirements.
