About the Role:
Support vulnerable young people (16-18) in a nurturing and supportive environment. Foster their independence and emotional well-being through a consistent caring role model. This is a full-time position (36 hours per week) with sleep-ins included.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support young people through challenges of independence.
- Provide emotional support and actively listen to young people.
- Promote positive relationships and create a nurturing environment.
- Ensure IT literacy with Word and Outlook for communication.
- Plan and engage shared activities within the home for the team and young people.
- Create an environment where young people can thrive.
- Identify and create opportunities for the young people to develop.
Skills and Expertise:
- Experience supporting young people in a residential setting (preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with young people.
- Understanding of youth development principles.
- IT literacy, especially with Word and Outlook.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overnight.
